SEN Teaching Assistant
Veritas Education are currently recruiting for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a welcoming primary school in the Bury area.
This role involves supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 with additional learning needs, helping them access the curriculum while supporting their social and emotional development.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in children''s education and supporting pupils with additional needs.
The Role:
- Provide 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs
- Support small groups of children within the classroom
- Assist pupils across both KS1 and KS2
- Help children engage with learning activities and classroom routines
- Support pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs
- Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs and wider school staff
- Help create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN is desirable
- Experience working within a primary school setting is preferred
- A patient, caring and proactive attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- A genuine passion for supporting children''s development
