Principal Software Engineer Great Baddow(Chelmsford)-Hybrid working role Up to 80k + 10-20% BonusMy client a multinational Aerospace and Defence organisation are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join their Great Baddow site working on a hybrid basis.What you''ll be doing:Derive and maintain a set of software requirements from a baseline set of systems requirementsProduce and maintain a software design to meet a set of software requirementsUse a software design to produce a deliverable software solutionUndertake peer reviews or checking/verification of peers'' solutions across Maritime ServicesUndertake technical reviews, verify and authorise software engineering designsAct as an Engineering technical lead for a software solution at a sub-system levelMaintain a software solution to address reported defects and/or add new functionalitySupport the development of individuals and teams to enhance skills and competenciesProduce or assist in the creation of software estimates for sub-systemsYour skills and experiences:Strong experience of using at least one high level programming languageConsiderable experience of using a high-level design methodology - knowledge of UMLStrong experience of all aspects of the software lifecycle and good knowledge of software lifecycle models (e.g. Waterfall, Agile)Have a BEng/BSc in Computer Science or other relevant Engineering or Numerate subject (technology, engineering or science related discipline)Have good knowledge of appropriate s
