Responsibilities

Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the operating theatres to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical services.

Drive change and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to ensure seamless and coordinated care.

Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Oversee staff development and training programmes to foster learning and professional growth.

Manage budgets and resources to optimise service delivery.

QualificationsEssential

Educated to Degree level or equivalent experience

Evidence of continued professional development

Masters Degree or equivalent study/experience

NMC registration or HCPC Registration

Ability to develop good working relationships with staff at all levels

Computer literate

Knowledge and understanding of operational nursing/theatre issues in an NHS setting

Knowledge and understanding of Risk management and escalation processes

Awareness of equality and diversity

Proven Leadership and mediation skills

Desirable

Management or leadership qualification

Excellent influencing and negotiation skills

Able to present information to a variety of professional groups at varying levels of seniority
