Role PurposeReporting into the Director of Treasury, the Treasury Manager is responsible for the Group''s cash management, ensuring robustly controlled and accurate daily cash positioning, forecasting and settlement processes. The Treasury Manager will support the department in achieving its objectives in managing the Group''s financials risks. The ideal candidate will have experience at identifying process improvement and automation opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, reduce errors, and minimise risks.

Key responsibilities

Payment operations and banking systems

Review and approve payments across multiple banking platforms, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timeliness

Maintain strong internal controls and adherence to payment policies and procedures, working with relevant departments as needed

Cash flow forecasting and liquidity management

Short- and long-term cash flow forecasting for the Group including variance analysis

Identify and mitigate liquidity risks through proactive planning and analysis

Managing drawdowns and repayments of bank loans

Drive the project to implement cash pools across the Group

Manage the Group''s bank guarantee line

Reporting

Review the daily and weekly cash reporting

Prepare the following monthly and quarterly reporting: cash and debt for accounting purposes; cash flows, debt and covenants for finance reporting; ad-hoc reporting as needed

Continuously review how Treasury reporting is prepared, exploring ways to enhance the quality of information being reported

Process improvement and automation

Champion a mindset of continuous improvement across Treasury operations as well as across the wider organisation

Identify opportunities to effectively automate manual processes and enhance system efficiencies

Work with IT and finance teams to implement solutions, ensuring a robust testing process and contingency planning before going live with any changes

Internal governance

Review and maintain user access and rights across relevant treasury and banking systems

Review and maintain company banking mandates and signing authorities

Review and maintain Treasury process guides

Create and maintaining an internal risk and controls matrix for Treasury to ensure all risks have been adequately addressed

Support the Director of Treasury to create a Treasury Policy and its implementation

Ensure Treasury''s excel files have controls to reduce errors and are regularly reviewed for improvement

Other

Support the Director of Treasury to:

manage banking relationships

complete KYC requests

monitor covenant compliance

mentor and coach the Treasury Analyst and Payments Analyst

Ad-hoc tasks as they arise.

Individual Profile

Relevant Bachelors / Masters degree (e.g. maths, finance, economics), and / or advanced ACT diploma

Strong experience in a Treasury role, relevant to the responsibilities listed

Good communication skills, both verbal and written

Ability to prioritise tasks efficiently and work to deadlines

Keen attention to detail

Positive attitude, reliable and dependable

Show initiate and a proactive mindset, willing to take on new tasks and get ahead of potential issues

Ability to work independently when required

Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Systems used:

Cobase - the Group''s consolidated bank reporting and payment system

Oracle - the Group''s ERP system

Various other e-banking platforms.
