About the Role:
A nurturing and inclusive primary school in Aylesbury is looking for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support pupils with additional needs across EYFS and Key Stage 1. The role involves a mix of in-class support and targeted 1:1 interventions, particularly for children with autism, speech and language needs, and emotional regulation challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personalised support for pupils with SEN, including ASD and speech, language, and communication needs
• Implement strategies advised by the SENCO and external professionals
• Work with individuals and small groups to promote academic and emotional progress
• Support with behaviour regulation using a positive and therapeutic approach

Requirements:

• Experience supporting children with SEND in an educational or care setting
• Calm, nurturing, and consistent approach
• Understanding of communication strategies such as PECS, Makaton, or visuals is beneficial
• Commitment to inclusion and safeguarding
