We are now seeking an exceptional Head Chef to lead our extensive catering operation and help shape the future of our food provision.The OpportunityThis is an exciting, hands-on role with full responsibility for the day-to-day running of a high-volume kitchen serving approximately 5,000 day students, along with a dedicated offer for boarding students and an expanding in-house hospitality service. You will spend the majority of your time in the kitchen, cooking, directing and inspiring the team - this is not an office-based position.What You''ll Be Doing• Leading and developing a skilled kitchen brigade (15-20 staff) in a fast-paced environment• Delivering high-volume, high-quality catering (experience with 2,000+ meals per day ideal)• Creating innovative, fresh menus and taking our food offer to the next level• Managing ordering for the main refectory kitchen and hospitality crossover for events• Ensuring excellent standards of HACCP, food safety, compliance and auditing• Overseeing hospitality support for events and internal functionsWorking pattern:• Four shifts of 08:00-16:00 and one shift of 11:00-19:00 each week• One evening shift per week as standard• One weekend working day every half termAbout YouWe are looking for a passionate and experienced culinary leader who brings:• Experience
