Kitchen Manager Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Catering Manager to lead a busy kitchen within an educational setting. You will be responsible for delivering a high-quality, efficient food service while promoting healthy, balanced meals and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the day-to-day catering operation, including staff, food production, and service deliveryEnsure compliance with food hygiene, health and safety, and all statutory requirementsPlan menus, manage stock, and oversee ordering, storage, and portion controlPrepare and supervise the delivery of nutritious meals in line with national standardsMonitor and control budgets, including costs, income, and wasteLead, train, and support catering staff, including rota managementMaintain high standards of cleanliness and HACCP proceduresKeep accurate records of stock, wastage, and performanceCarry out quality checks and implement improvementsPromote the service through themed menus and initiatives to increase uptakeAdditional ResponsibilitiesFollow safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality policiesSupport a positive, inclusive environmentAttend relevant meetings and training as requiredWhat We''re Looking ForPrevious experience in a catering or kitchen management roleStrong leadership and organisational skillsGood knowledge of food safety and nutritional standardsAbility to manage budgets and work efficiently under pressureA great opportunity for a hands-on manager
