As a senior technical leader in our Power Systems Team, you will play a key role in delivering complex consultancy projects, guiding junior engineers, supporting business development, and ensuring technical excellence in power systems studies.Lead and deliver power systems study projects (steady-state, RMS, and EMT-based)Support and prepare technical and commercial proposalsApply study results to system design and equipment specificationsInteract with clients, grid operators, developers, EPCs, and OEMsMentor junior team members and contribute to internal knowledge growthTechnical Expertise – You Bring At Least 5 of the Following
Load Flow, Reactive Power, Short-Circuit, Power Quality and Stability StudiesProtection coordination and Arc Flash analysisInsulation coordination (EMT), TRV, Ferro-resonance analysisTechno-economic assessments and grid compliance studiesHVDC systems and sub-synchronous interaction studiesScripting/automation of power analysis toolsExperience with software such as PowerFactory, PSCAD, PSSE, ETAP, Python, MATLABDesirable Skills
Grid connection application expertise (transmission/distribution)Substation design and equipment specificationRenewable integration and corresponding grid codesModel development in PSCAD, PowerFactory, or similarTechnical due diligence for power projectsWhat You''ll Need
Bachelor''s, MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field10+ years'' relevant professional experienceChartered Engineer status (CEng) desirableStrong communication and presentation skillsExperience with UK Grid/Distribution Codes and stakeholders (e.g., NGESO, DNOs, developers)What You''ll Get in Return
