Upload CVBhatia Best are a leading firm based in the East Midlands who specialise in Criminal Defence, Family Law, Personal Injury, Public Law and Community Care.We have an opportunity for a Legal Administrator to join our Criminal department at our Nottingham office.This position would suit a candidate with good administrative and organisation skills.Previous experience in a legal environment is preferred but not essential as additional training will be given. Good English and Mathematics skills required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential.Duties include, but are not limited to:Processing Legal Aid applications and dealing with amendmentsProcessing invoices in accordance with office proceduresOnline diary management, to include hearings, filing dates etc.Ensuring hearings/ meetings are flagged for allocationChasing outstanding documentsDrafting basic court documents and standard lettersSetting up client appointmentsLiaising with clients, the courts, and other professionals both in person, by email, and by telephoneOpening and closing physical filesTaking minutes of meetingsThis is an office-based position.The hours are Monday – Friday, 09:00 to 17:30 with one hour for lunch between 13:00 and 14:00.Please state in your application your current salary, and salary expectations.Due to a high volume of applications, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted
