We are currently recruiting to a Laboratory Health and Safety Support Officer on a 3 month initial contract working for a busy Higher Education provider.Your main role will be to ensure the laboratory facilities are compliant and safe including: Arranging for chemical waste collection by the 3rd party supplier Complete lab checks and audits to monitor compliance with procedures, policies and health and safety requirements Ensure safety signage is visible Conduct First Aid Kit checks and audits Advise on storage of chemicals and hazardous substances Ensure the correct PPE is available The ideal candidate will have past experience in a similar Lab based role either as a Lab Technician, Lab Manager or Health and Safety Officer.The role is for 3 month initially with potential to extend.Flexible working hours of 8am - 6pm working 7.3 hours per day Monday to Friday.
