Hackney London - Senior Prac - Occupational Therapist
Hackney Council is seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapist to manage a small caseload of complex cases and provide mentoring, supervision, and leadership within the OT team. You will support high professional standards, supervise students and newly qualified OTs, and contribute to service development and strategic initiatives. This role requires specialist knowledge of major adaptations and equipment to promote independence and enhance the quality of OT interventions across the service. Key Responsibilities Manage complex caseloads and provide clinical supervision to OTs, students, and apprentices. Support professional development, mentoring, and training within the team. Lead on professional practice standards and ensure evidence-based interventions. Chair meetings, case conferences, and multi-agency discussions. Act as Safeguarding Adults Manager, leading investigations and managing risks. Promote person-centred, strengths-based Self-Directed Support to maximise independence. Maintain up-to-date records and ensure compliance with legislation, policy, and quality standards. Engage with HEIs and the Teaching Partnership to support OT students and apprentices. Requirements UK State Registered Degree in Occupational Therapy. Current HCPC registration. Membership of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT). Enhanced DBS clearance.
