DevOps/Senior Systems Administrator/Engineer role at Harris Computer (Systems and Software division). This is a hands-on role focused on delivering operational improvements through practical work and training opportunities. Architecting customer cloud environmentsProject management, coordination, and customer meetings for TechOps responsibilities of upgrades and migrations, both on-prem and cloudApplying out-of-the-box thinking to address customer technical needsCloud and on-premises system provisioning, network setup and maintenanceWorking with development teams to resolve application-related issuesMonitoring internal and customer system healthTier 2/3 technical support for internal and external customers (after-hours support rotation)Diagnosing and resolving operating system issues (performance problems, configuration issues, etc.)Administration of Linux and Windows serversAdministration of Site-to-Site VPN tunnels, on-premise networking and cloud networking configurationDeploying changes to customer environments using AnsibleImplementing continuous improvement through automation using Ansible, Jira, GitLab, TerraformLeading and mentoring more junior team membersCreating and maintaining technical documentationEducating usersWhat We Are Looking For

A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information science, information systems, or related field OR equivalent work experience in a systems admin roleAt least 7 years of experience with Linux (Oracle, RHEL, CentOS) and Windows Server OSProficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)Solid understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure managementExperience with Fortinet Fortigate firewall/VPN, switches3 years experience working on complex technical projects with a customer focusExpertise in containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)Ability to travel up to 5% within North AmericaWhat Would Make You Stand Out
