Learning Support Practitioner

Overview
As a Learning Support Practitioner you will work alongside teaching staff, and will be deployed in a range of vocational workshops or classrooms, working with groups of students, or on a one to one basis.Responsibilities
You will need to have a flexible style and approach, with the ability to build effective relationships with both students and teaching staff, accompanied by the ability to be pro-active and use your initiative. You should have experience of working with young people and an understanding of working with people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).Qualifications
You will need to have a good standard of education, with English and/or Maths at Level 2 (GCSE C or 4 grade), with a commitment to achieving Level 2 English or Maths if not already obtained.Disability Confident / Equal Opportunity

Enhanced hourly rates are available for Learning Support Practitioners undertaking personal care duties.Campus Locations
Suffolk New College is a multi-campus site and therefore whilst you will have a main base, you may be required to work at and travel between campuses. We have campuses in Halesworth, Leiston, Otley and Ipswich. Please state clearly in your application form your preferred main base.BeSNC Commitment
