Fire Curtain Engineer V7 are currently are looking for an experienced Fire Curtain or Shutter engineer to join our clients busy team, working throughout London and the surrounding M25 area. The role on offer is a long term contract role initially 6 months, with the option to be extended. The work involves servicing and repairing the fire curtain to check they are compliant to British standards. Benefits Outside IR35 (weekly pay every Friday) Hourly rate negotiable, starting from 35 per hour. Millage covered and parking. Monday - Friday work, + weekend work and OT available Working on commercial sites Opportunities for skills development, working for a national client Responsibilities: Check the security of fixings, mechanical parts and linkages to other systems, such as the fire alarm and smoke control systems and undertake a range of electrical checks Testing the power draw of motors; the charging capacity of batteries and their ability to hold charge and the operation of the brakes. Service and repair of fire and curtains and smoke seals What we are looking for: Asbestos awareness, manual handling and working at heights Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
