You would be responsible for re-inventing the fundamental reporting processes. This means everything from how financial data is collected to how it is reported. Therefore we are looking for a hungry financial controller who wants to make a strategic contribution to the business.

Your responsibilities

Looking after a team of two direct reportsPartnering with technology and operational teams to develop automated finance and accounting processes - enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of all financial reportingOwning the consolidated general ledger (GL) key subsidiaries and accounting systemCoordinating accounting and periodic closing processes for consolidated group results and key UK and EU subsidiariesOverseeing periodic financial and regulatory reporting in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the UK / EUs regulatory framework for financial servicesHelping to lead statutory and regulatory auditsCoordinate and help manage the group''s tax complianceContributing to and defining the accounting infrastructure, as well as financial control processes and proceduresSupporting the operational reporting and forecasting processes of the businessWho you are

You have a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent), obtained whilst training at a leading accounting firmYou have 5+ years of professional accounting experience (2+ years PQE) with strong accounting knowledge and proven experience with both IFRS and consolidated financial reportingA desire to improve the efficiency of your processes (through automation and integration) on top of a desire to do the core parts of the roleIt would be a bonus if you have

Previous experience in a fast-moving FinTech organisation or regulated financial services firmProfessional experience of PowerBI, PowerPivot, SQL and/or AlteryxThe position is either FULLY REMOTE or HYBRID. Applicants are accepted from the UK, Ireland and Portugal
