GSL Education London Branch is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Music Teacher to join a welcoming coeducational secondary school in Barking and Dagenham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Music Teacher who wants to inspire students and develop their musical skills in a supportive and creative school environment.

As a Music Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and high-quality music lessons to students across Key Stages. The successful Music Teacher will encourage creativity, performance, and confidence in music while helping students develop a strong appreciation for different musical styles and traditions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Music lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Inspire students to develop their musical skills, creativity, and confidence.
• Prepare students for performances, assessments, and examinations.
• Encourage participation in school concerts, clubs, and musical activities.
• Assess and monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the Music department and wider school activities.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Proven experience working as a Music Teacher in a secondary school.
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for teaching Music.
• Ability to plan engaging lessons that support students of different abilities.
• Good classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to supporting students’ academic and personal development.
