The Role We''re looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial side of our care home projects, with a strong emphasis on subcontractor management .You''ll be responsible for subcontractors'' procurement, valuations, and cost control, working closely with site teams and directors to keep projects on track financially.This role suits someone who enjoys being involved in the day-to-day running of projects, not just office-based work. Key Responsibilities Source, negotiate, and appoint subcontractors and suppliers. Prepare tender packages, review quotes, prepare and manage JCT contracts and issue purchase orders. Manage subcontractor payments, valuations, and variations. Conduct site visits to verify progress and measure works completed. Monitor project costs and prepare monthly cost reports/CVRs. Manage change orders and ensure accurate record keeping. Support the Project and Site Managers in maintaining budget control and commercial efficiency.
