Health and Safety Manager
Hays Health and Safety are excited to be working with a leading global logistics company to source an office-based Health and Safety Manager, for a fixed term contract of 6 months, to strategically support their SLT to ensure a compliant workplace and embed a positive Health and Safety culture.You will be entering an organisation where you will have full buy-in from the SLT and you will have autonomy over the Health and Safety Management systems. The ideal candidate will come from a corporate environment where they often liaise with different levels of seniority and will possess great communication skills to advise, persuade and influence. What you will be doing:Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in line with current legislation and best practiceLead ISO 45001 certification process and maintain compliance with management system requirementsConduct regular audits and inspections, reporting findings and implementing corrective actionsManage and update the health and safety management system to ensure accuracy and complianceDeliver health and safety training, inductions, and toolbox talks for employees and contractorsAdvise on compliance with the Building Safety Act and integrate requirements into processesOversee risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and permit-to-work systems across all sitesInvestigate incidents and accidents, ensuring thorough reporting and root cause analysisLiaise with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and
