Overview:We are seeking skilled and reliable HGV Class 1 Container Drivers to join our team. This is a vital role in our organization, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest level of professionalism and Compliance.Responsibilities:- Safely operate a commercial vehicle, Transporting Containers from Port to Addressess in the UK- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and inform on site fitters of any issues.- Communicate effectively with planners, customers, and team members- Complete necessary paperwork, such as POD''s and daily inspection reportsQualifications:- Valid Class 1 driver''s license with a clean driving record- Proven experience as a HGV Class 1 Driver- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision- Valid and up to date Driver CPC and Tacho Cards- Preferably have a Southampton Port ID card already but can put the driver through if requiredNote: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
