Teaching Assistant - Secondary School | Leeds | September Start | Temp to Perm | Veritas Education

Veritas Education is currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream secondary school in north Leeds. This full-time role starts in September 2025 and offers the opportunity to go temp to perm for the right candidate.

This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people in their education, whether you''re an experienced TA or looking to gain school-based experience before pursuing a teaching career.

Role Responsibilities:

• Support teachers in the classroom to deliver engaging lessons

• Work with students on a 1:1 or small group basis to support learning

• Assist in managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive environment

• Adapt resources to meet the needs of individual learners

• Encourage student participation and monitor progress

What We''re Looking For:

• Experience working with young people (school, youth work, tutoring, etc.)

• A positive, flexible attitude and strong communication skills

• Passion for education and supporting student development

• A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
