QA/QC Inspector (Solar)

Solar QA / QC Inspector Mon-Fri - 8 hours per day - £45/hour - 12-month contract - Outside IR35 Job Summary: The QA/QC Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all solar project construction activities comply with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. This role involves inspecting materials, workmanship, and processes to ensure quality and safety throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: Inspection and Monitoring: Conduct daily inspections of solar panel installations, mounting structures, cabling, and electrical systems. Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Verify that materials and equipment delivered to the site meet project requirements. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and quality records. Ensure proper documentation of test results, calibration certificates, and inspection checklists. Assist in the preparation of final quality dossiers and handover documentation. Preparation of ITPs and its implementation. Testing and Verification: Witness, verify and record electrical and mechanical testing (e.g., insulation resistance, continuity, perform torque checks). Coordinate with third-party testing agencies and ensure compliance with testing protocols. Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, IEC standards, and local regulatory requirements.
