Overview

Are you an ACA / ACCA qualified finance professional seeking a hands on role in a professional SME? You will be fully home based for this one – managing all day to day financial reporting and control for a GBP10m turnover privately owned modern business. You will also be comfortable wearing other hats in the business as a vital sounding board to the MD. You''ll be that crucial ''critical friend'' to the wider leadership team (including the MD) – reviewing the financials, managing relationships with external stakeholders and proving insight and thoughts into opportunity and risk across the group.It\''s a sleeves rolled up position – transactional finance and the nuts and bolts of AP / AR is outsourced but you must be comfortable drilling into the nitty gritty if required. A reasonable amount of your time is also spent on non core finance tasks – offering common sense insight around decision making, opportunity and risk across the business. All of the role is done at arms length (working remotely) so you must be skilled and experienced in a remote based role ideally. You need to be comfortable building relationships via Phone / Teams / Zoom. Lead the day to day financial reporting and control for a GBP10m turnover privately owned SME (remote role).Act as a trusted adviser to the MD and wider leadership team; provide insight on opportunity and risk across the group.Review financials and manage relationships with external stakeholders (banks, insurers, auditors, etc.).Handle non-core finance tasks with practical, decision-focused input on opportunity and risk.Drill into the nitty gritty when required, even though AP/AR is outsourced.Build and maintain effective remote working relationships via phone, Teams and Zoom.Qualifications

ACCA / ACA qualified ideally.Experience of financial reporting / control in a smaller business.Professional and methodical approach to managing deadlines, workload and priorities.Ability to develop strong working relationships with external stakeholders (banks / insurance providers / auditors, etc.).Confidence working remotely and reporting directly to an MD.Ability to start in August / September.Apply now
