The Role
As a Production Operative, you will be crucial to the efficient manufacturing of packaging products. Your duties will include:
Operating machinery to create products while ensuring quality standards are consistently met.
Working to and achieving productivity targets set by management.
Performing manual handling tasks, including labelling and stacking products on pallets.
Scanning products and helping to maintain accurate inventory.
Adhering to all UK Health and Safety legislation and safe systems of work.
Maintaining and cleaning machinery as per the planned schedule.
Important Information
Location: DS Smith Packaging, Mill Road, Devizes, Wiltshire, SN10 3EW
Pay Rate: -14.47 per hour (rising to -14.99 per hour after 12 weeks)
Shifts: You must be able to work all three rotating shifts:
6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
Contract: 3 months, with potential to extend to 6 months.
Start Date: ASAP (within 1-2 weeks).
Overtime is available at the following rates:
Weekdays (OT 1.5): -21.71 per hour
Saturday AM (OT 1.75): -25.32 per hour
Saturday PM & Sunday (OT 2.0): -28.94 per hour
What We''re Looking For
Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is essential.
A strong team player who is motivated and quality-conscious.
Excellent communication skills and knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation.
The ability to conduct manual handling and be on your feet for extended periods.
An FLT License is desirable but not essential.
