Responsibilities

Design and document enterprise-wide architecture solutions aligned with strategic business objectives.

Produce architecture artefacts including current and future state models, technology roadmaps, and integration strategies.

Recommend and document technology platforms, integration approaches, and governance models.

Present architectural options and recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business and IT strategies.

Conduct impact assessments and risk analysis for technology change initiatives.

Ensure architecture designs comply with relevant regulations, security standards, and sector best practices, particularly within banking/finance.

Provide independent review and assurance over internal solution designs and architectural direction.

Engagement details

Duration: 12 months

Location: Remote, with occasional travel to London

Required Expertise

Enterprise architecture design and implementation within regulated financial services environments.

Working with the Systems Integrator who provide the middleware, so capable of engaging with vendors.

Deep understanding of modern IT infrastructure and platforms including cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, containerization, and APIs.

Knowledge of enterprise frameworks such as TOGAF, ArchiMate, and associated methodologies.

Familiarity with regulatory standards and security considerations within the financial services domain.

Extensive experience in Agile delivery environments, advising from an architectural perspective.

Ability to engage independently with senior stakeholders and deliver concise architectural guidance.
