We are seeking an experienced Peripatetic Registered Manager to provide cover and support across our network of homes. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about stepping into homes to offer interim cover for holidays or sickness, and to provide additional support and mentoring to current managers.Our goal is to support our Registered Managers to thrive, ensuring our staff teams feel valued and supported, and that children are cared for in a safe, nurturing environment. If you enjoy a role where every day offers new challenges, different homes, and interaction with children and staff, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.You will follow our in-house psychologically informed therapeutic model to care for children who have experienced trauma, abuse, neglect, or other adverse childhood experiences. As a not-for-profit operator, we prioritize the needs of our children, supported by our in-house clinical team and the wider YMCA services, including our Community and Activity Village.The Role

As a Peripatetic Manager, your responsibilities may include:Ensuring homes comply with Children''s Homes Regulations (England) 2015 and foster a positive environment.Creating, auditing, and maintaining Care Plans and Risk Assessments for each child.Working with the Clinical team to ensure safety plans are adhered to.Providing high standards of personalized care and involving children in decisions affecting their care.Leading and motivating staff to create a warm, nurturing, and caring culture.Scheduling staffing levels to ensure appropriate cover with diverse skills.Safeguarding all children in our services.Investigating safeguarding concerns and making informed decisions.Supporting children through crises, prioritizing their safety.Collaborating with the Operations Team to develop our services.We encourage applicants to share any needs for adjustments during the recruitment process. All applicants will undergo enhanced DBS checks, reference checks, and thorough vetting to ensure safeguarding.Ideal candidates will have experience caring for children with trauma, challenging behaviors, and working in a psychologically informed way. Specific experience with CSE and HSB is advantageous. A previous Registered Manager position and holding a Level 4 Diploma in Children''s Residential Care are required, with a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management preferred or willingness to undertake it.Applicants must have a valid driving license and own vehicle for travel between homes in Nottinghamshire and East Yorkshire, with mileage reimbursement available.Our Values and Benefits
