This job is Inside IR35Based in West SussexKey Responsibilities:Managing technical tasks and leading project teamsPreparing and developing proposalsUnderstanding product development processes for powertrains and transmissionsDefining system and component specificationsConducting rig and system validation testingUtilising instrumentation and data capture techniquesPerforming FMEAs and maintaining DVPs (Design Validation Plans)Employing structured problem-solving methods like 8D and DAMAICPreparing and releasing test proceduresOverseeing post-test teardowns and inspectionsApplying metrology skillsLiaising with suppliers and managing the design release processPreparing and executing tests for components, systems, engines, and vehiclesUsing specialist instrumentation and prototype component manufactureManaging functionality and durability tests for engines and vehiclesConducting technical investigations and reporting on powertrain enquiriesPreparing work proposals and planning projectsCollaborating with engineering teams and specialistsJob Requirements:Experience in automotive engineering and mechanical developmentStrong fundamental engineering principlesExcellent initiative and interpersonal skillsProficient written communication, PC, and presentation skillsBroad knowledge of powertrain systemsSupplier management capabilitiesFlexibility to work at client sites and travel as requiredAbility to coordinate information from multiple engineering departmentsUnderstanding of engineerin
