Site Agent – Heavy Civils

A leading infrastructure contractor is looking to appoint a Site Agent to support the delivery of major heavy civil engineering works in the Gatwick area. The project involves complex groundworks, structural civils and infrastructure works within a live operational environment.

This role will suit a candidate with strong experience managing large-scale civil engineering packages with multiple subcontractors and strict programme requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily site operations across heavy civils packages including earthworks, reinforced concrete, drainage and infrastructure works

• Lead site teams including site engineers, supervisors and subcontractors

• Ensure project delivery aligns with programme, safety standards and quality requirements

• Coordinate with project managers, commercial teams and design teams

• Review and implement RAMS, method statements and construction programmes

• Monitor productivity and report progress to senior management

• Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations and site procedures

• Manage site documentation and reporting requirements

Experience Required

• Civil Engineering Degree (essential)

• Strong experience working as a Site Agent or Sub Agent on major civils projects

• Background delivering heavy civils or infrastructure works

• Experience managing large earthworks, reinforced concrete and drainage packages

• Strong leadership and subcontractor management experience

• Experience working on projects within complex or operational environments

• Excellent knowledge of construction sequencing, planning and programme delivery
