We are recruiting on behalf of a leading gas distribution company based in Bury St Edmunds for a Yard Operator to join their team. This is a temp-to-perm role, offering stability and progression for the right candidate after an initial 6-month period.

The Role:

As a Yard Operator, you will play a key role in the smooth running of the depot, ensuring efficient yard operations. Your responsibilities will include:

- Loading and unloading gas cylinders safely
- Organising and maintaining yard stock
- Operating forklift (training provided if required)
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
- Assisting with general warehouse duties

What We’re Looking For:

- Commitment – You’re looking for a long-term role and are willing to prove yourself.
- Excellent timekeeping – Punctuality and reliability are essential.
- Can-do attitude – You’re proactive, willing to learn, and happy to take on varied tasks.
- Physical fitness – The role involves manual handling and working outdoors in all weathers.
- Forklift experience (preferred but not essential) – Training can be provided.
