Assembly Technician
OverviewWe are seeking a number of Assembly Technicians to join a fast-growing engineering and manufacturing customer of ours in Surrey. Initially on a 2 month fixed-term-contract, this is a hands-on role supporting the build and assembly of the company s pioneering, clean-technology product. Main Duties Assemble mechanical and electrical components in line with detailed engineering instructionsSupport production builds and assist with kitting parts for assemblyMaintain high quality standards, ensuring component traceability and minimal reworkDiagnose and resolve assembly issues to keep production on scheduleAccurately record assembly processes, including any deviations or modificationsFollow health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised workspace Technical Prerequisites Background in mechanical and/or electrical assemblyIdeally experience within automotive (or similar sectors such as aerospace, motorsport, or commercial vehicles) not essentialAlternatively, a vehicle technician background would be consideredAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings (2D/3D) and assembly instructionsStrong hands-on skills with good fault-finding and diagnostic abilityAwareness of health and safety and use of PPE Desirable: Electrical harnessing experience (LV/HV)Experience within a production or prototype assembly environmentForklift licence Hours / Package Location: Surrey (near M25)Salary: £32,000 (pro rata)Contract: Initially fixed-term (2 months)
