Accounts Payable Assistant
Sewell Wallis is working with a Sheffield-based business who are leaders within their field. Due to increased workload, they''re now looking for an accounts payable assistant to join their team for a period of 9 months.This South Yorkshire role will be remote based; however, if you did want to work in their office, that would also be an option.The right candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and be able to hit the ground running.What will you be doing?Enter invoices into the Purchase Ledger timely and accuratelyResolve all supplier queries in a timely mannerManage supplier payments, including loading of payments onto the bank BACS/online facilityReconcile supplier accountsProvide updates on any supplier issues arising which may cause problemsEnter into the accounting system, manage and pay employee expense claimsProcessing company credit card claims on the accounting systemAny other ad-hoc duties as requiredReconciliation of main bank accountsAccurately recording and reconciling bank transactions to the accounting systemCooperating with external auditors at times of interim and final auditWhat skills are we looking for?Previous experience gained in an accounting or finance department environment.Experienced user of Microsoft ExcelExperienced user of core accounting packages (Sage X3 preferred)Analytical and numerical abilityAble to analyse, evaluate, interpret and present dataAble to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, with can do attitudeAdaptable and fle
