We are supporting a leading Investment Manager as they look to make a new in-house hire. This is a newly created Employment tax role and would suit those moving in-house for the first time or, those already in-house.Key Responsibilities:Advisory and ComplianceProvide expert advice on UK and international employment tax matters, including PAYE, NIC, IR35, and short-term business visitors.Oversee compliance with employment tax obligations across the firm and portfolio companies.Support the design and implementation of tax-efficient remuneration structuresGovernance and Risk ManagementMonitor legislative changes and assess their impact on the firm’s employment tax position.Develop and maintain employment tax policies and controls.Lead internal reviews and audits related to employment tax.Stakeholder EngagementCollaborate with HR, Legal, Finance, and external advisors to ensure alignment on employment tax matters.Act as the primary point of contact for HMRC and other tax authorities on employment tax queries and audits.Global Mobility and Cross-Border IssuesAdvise on tax implications of employee mobility, secondments, and remote working arrangements.Manage tax risks related to international assignments and expatriate tax compliance.Qualifications and Experience:Significant experience in employment tax, ideally gained in a Big 4 firm, law firm, or in-house within financial services.Strong technical knowledge of UK employment tax legislation; international experience is a plus.Proven ability to manage complex tax issues and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.Seniority level
