Temporary Works Co-Ordinator
Role Purpose The Temporary Works Co-Ordinator (TWC) is responsible for coordinating, managing, and ensuring the safe control of all temporary works activities on a live rail project in London. The role ensures that temporary works are designed, implemented, inspected, and removed in accordance with relevant standards, procedures, and rail industry requirements. Key Responsibilities Temporary Works ManagementCoordinate all temporary works activities in line with BS 5975 and company Temporary Works ProceduresMaintain the Temporary Works Register and ensure it is kept up to dateEnsure temporary works designs are received, reviewed, approved, and implemented correctlyConfirm that all temporary works are installed in accordance with approved designsSafety and ComplianceEnsure temporary works are planned and executed safely within a live rail environmentLiaise with construction teams to ensure compliance with HS2 standards, CDM Regulations, and site-specific rulesEnsure inspections are carried out at key stages and recorded appropriatelyStop works if temporary works are unsafe or non-compliantCoordination and CommunicationAct as the key interface between Temporary Works Designers, Site Teams, Engineers, and SubcontractorsBrief site teams on temporary works requirements and limitationsAttend design reviews, site meetings, and safety briefings as requiredDocumentation and RecordsEnsure permits, check certificates, inspection records, and design documentation are correctly controlledS
