Your experience as an embedded Architect is required to join an innovative healthcare software company dedicated to leveraging technology for the greater good. Your role will be somewhat of a DevOps Architect who is adept at both strategic planning and hands-on execution. In this role, you will spend 60-70% of your time focusing on design, documentation, and architectural reviews, with the remaining 30-40% dedicated to hands-on technical work. The ideal candidate will have a strong DevOps background, however, has definitely moved on since, and have the ability to lead multiple projects independently.

Key Responsibilities:

Architectural Design and Documentation (70%)MAIN - Design and document infrastructure and deployment processes using Confluence.Lead the migration of clusters, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance.Develop comprehensive architectural designs without requiring detailed guidance.Conduct architectural reviews of current designs to ensure they meet best practices and company standards.

Hands-On Work (30%):

Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.Manage AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure environments.Deploy and maintain Kubernetes clusters, including EKS Fargate and EKS with managed nodes.Utilise Terraform/Terragrunt for infrastructure as code (IaC) management.Implement GitOps practices using FluxCD and Kustomize.

Technical Leadership:

Provide technical leadership across multiple projects, guiding teams towards successful delivery.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align architectural strategies with business goals.

To be clear, this is NOT a role for a DevOps Engineer with some architecture experience. This is for an out-and-out Architect, who perhaps has come from a DevOps background, who can get their hands dirty where need be.
