Agricultural Machinery Service Engineer – Colchester

Our client is a well-established Agriculture Dealer and due to continuing success of the business and recent expansion, an opportunity has arisen for skilled and highly motivated Agricultural Machinery Service Engineer to join their service team in Colchester, Essex.

Key Responsibilities of this role include:

- Service and maintain plant and other agricultural machinery to the manufacturers specifications and to ensure machine reliability and safety.
- Successfully diagnose and rectify electrical, hydraulic, powertrain and various other faults prior to initiating and completing a repair.
- Have a keen eye for detail, reporting machine defects and upselling the services provided by the company wherever possible.
- Operate diagnostic software via a laptop computer when required (training will be given).
- Complete a detailed report of work completed along with supporting photographs and documenting of all worked times.

To be successful as an Agricultural Machinery Service Engineer you will need knowledge and experience of a variety of machinery ideally in the agricultural, commercial vehicle or construction industry. Ideally with a relevant qualification within the field of Land Based Engineering. Full product training will be provided, you will also receive a laptop with the latest diagnostic software, mobile WIFI connection and a mobile phone to enable you to do your role.

Details and Benefits include:

- Salary up to £39,000 p.a. depending on experience.
- 40hr week - Monday - Friday 8am-5pm, 1hr unpaid lunch.
- Overtime available especially during peak season.
- 24 days holiday allowance plus 8 bank holidays per year.
- Contributory pension plan - 7% employer and 3% employee contributions.
- Provided with a dedicated service van.
- Life Insurance.
