Sales Engineer Location: Hybrid (Hertford + Field, 20-25-mile radius)We''re seeking a dynamic Sales Engineer to join a growing technical sales team specialising in compressed air and vacuum solutions. This hybrid role combines field sales (3 days) and office-based work (2 days), offering autonomy and the opportunity to build long-term client relationships across a defined territory.You''ll thrive here if you''re commercially driven, technically minded, and comfortable working with industrial or engineering clients.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and develop new business across industrial sectorsMaintain and grow existing customer relationshipsConduct on-site assessments to understand technical requirementsDeliver tailored proposals and quotationsNegotiate pricing and terms in line with company processesCollaborate with internal teams to support seamless project deliveryMeet and exceed sales targets and KPIsMaintain detailed CRM records, reports, and forecastsStay informed on market trends, competitors, and technologiesIdeal Candidate ProfileExperience with compressed air, pneumatics, or vacuum systems 2+ years'' experience in external technical/engineering salesProven ability to manage accounts and drive new businessStrong communication, negotiation, and presentation skillsAble to interpret technical specs/site layouts (desirable)Self-motivated with a proactive approach to pipeline managementBackground in engineering, mechanical, or industrial sectorsFull clean UK driving licen
