Workshop Operative

Workshop Operative Our client, a successful manufacturing business close to Norwich, are currently seeking a Workshop Operative to join their team. This is a full time permanent position, working in Norwich. Hours: Monday Friday 7:00 AM 6:00 PM There is also the requirement to work on Saturdays until 1 PM. Due to seasonal variations within the business, these hours may be increased in the winter or reduced in the summer. The ideal candidate will have a good engineering aptitude and will be of a practical nature and work ethic. Key Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Highly organised and able to work under high pressure during busy periods. Be able to reliably commute to the Norwich office Have a flexible approach to working hours and be able to work extended hours when required. Clean or near clean driving license is preferable Understand basic engineering drawings , methods and terminology. Understand the principles of engineering and good working practices. Ability to make basic calculations around material dimensions and specifications without the use of a calculator Able to get on with others and a team player Adaptable, reliable, tolerant and determined. Key Responsibilities: To assist with or complete the construction, production and assembly of cases and affiliated products using a variety of hand tools or power tools. To fabricate and assemble sub-assemblies with sufficient lead time to enable others to complete more complex products as scheduled Liaise
