37 Hours, Mon-Fri, 8am-4pm (some flexibility)

Are you an experienced Mechanical Design engineer looking for a wide ranging, technically challenging and varied role in an exciting industry?

On offer is a position with a well established and stable organisation who employ over 200 people on site in Nottingham, working on new product design work, using Inventor.

The role will be working on a wide variety of bespoke projects and will allow you to use your innovative and creative skills.

The position is a combination of hands on mechanical product design, with mentoring more junior design staff and liaising with clients.

The Role

1. Full time, permanent, office based position with a large global manufacturer, working in an exciting industry
2. Leading design projects focused on new product prototypes
3. Perform complex engineering calculations to ensure designs are compliant
4. Mentor junior design staff

The Person

1. HNC level/degree in mechanical engineering
2. Working background in the manufacturing sector
3. Ideally experience of designing frames , so heavy engineering/structural or automotive design knowledge would be a good fit
4. FEA experience
5. Working experience in a 3D Product Design role using of AutoCAD Inventor or equivalent CAD software
6. Willing to undertake occasional international travel (mainly Europe)
