Sheridan Maine is currently working in partnership with a growing and award-winning Top 100 accountancy firm to recruit a Tax Senior for their North London office.
This well-established and forward-thinking firm offers a full range of services to a diverse portfolio of clients, including private individuals, owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurs, charities, and large limited companies across a wide variety of sectors.
Your responsibilities as the Tax Senior will include:
- Manage a portfolio of clients including individuals, sole traders, partnerships, trusts, and high net worth individuals.
- Provide tailored tax advice and planning across a range of areas including EIS/SEIS, Capital Gains Tax (CGT), Inheritance Tax (IHT), share option schemes, and residency and domicile matters.
- Handle complex personal tax issues and deliver commercially sound solutions to clients.
- Prepare and review personal tax returns and Form P11D submissions.
- Manage and respond to tax enquiries from HMRC on behalf of clients.
- Assist in the training, supervision, and development of junior team members.
- Develop strong, long-term relationships with clients and act as a trusted advisor.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for the firm using existing business relationships, or by building and developing new opportunities for business development.
- CTA qualified (or studying towards qualification or QBE).
- Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice (minimum of 5 years).
- Strong technical and commercial tax knowledge, with a proven ability to deliver practical solutions to real-world client challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organised and able to manage multiple client deadlines.
- Must be willing and able to learn quickly.
