Mechanical Supervisor

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Supervisor to join our team on a high profile commercial fit out project. The successful candidate will oversee the installation and coordination of mechanical services, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands on supervisor with strong leadership skills and a proven track record in commercial construction projects.

Mechanical Supervisor Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all mechanical installation activities on site.
• Manage mechanical subcontractors and direct labour teams.
• Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, programme requirements, and quality standards.
• Monitor progress and report on productivity, programme milestones, and resource requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with project standards.
• Promote and enforce health, safety, and environmental requirements across all mechanical works.
• Coordinate with project managers, site managers, design teams, and other trades to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Attend site meetings and provide technical input where required.
• Assist with commissioning activities, snagging, and project handover.
• Identify and resolve technical and installation issues promptly.

Mechanical Supervisor Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor within commercial fit out, construction, or building services projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, pipework, ventilation, and mechanical building services installations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Strong understanding of current health and safety regulations.
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple workstreams.
• Proficient in reporting progress and maintaining site records.
