Caretaker

We are currently recruiting for a new Caretaker at a gorgeous development in Chelsea (SW10). The caretaker is the first point of contact for all residents, visitors, and contractors. They must be professional in manner and appearance at all times and available to assist residents, visitors and contractors with any enquiries they may have in a positive, solution-oriented way.Great customer service skills with attention to detail and an outlook to maintaining the highest standards is a must. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Confident and dynamic speaker, able to communicate and interact effectively with residents and others. Enthusiastic, proactive and positive personality with ability to build trusting relationships with residents, colleagues and others.Main duties and responsibilities:Greet and assist residents, visitors, and contractors courteously and professionally.Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout internal and external communal areas (including lobbies, corridors, lifts, bin stores, and the courtyard).Manage waste and recycling areas, ensure bins are rotated, and coordinate with contractors for collections.Hose down and maintain the cleanliness of external areas such as the courtyard.Review CCTV when required and carry out basic visual security checks around the property, including the underground car park.Understand and follow site fire and evacuation procedures, including designated evacuation points.Carry out weekly checks (e.g. fire alarms, lift alarms), report faults, and maintain accurate inspection logs.Support residents and contractors with general enquiries or access where needed.Oversee the attendance of approved contractors and assist in coordinating maintenance tasks.Maintain the fob access system and update as necessary.Prepare weekly reports for the managing agent, highlighting site conditions, issues, or contractor activity.Ensure effective communication during shift handovers with up-to-date written notes and handover logs.General:On site presence for all Shareholders (Porters Lodge)CCTV review and security checks of the courtyard, underground car parkRubbish being put out for the Council to collectHosing the CourtyardMonitor and maintain fob systemPackage and Parcel delivery and distributionOverseeing contractors for maintenance attendanceWeekly reporting to the managing agentApproachable with basic building knowledge/health and safety and security awarenessHours:
Monday to Friday / 08:00-16:00Salary:
