Head of Service (Complex and Long-Term Care)

Overview
The Head of Service is a senior, pivotal role within the Primary Care, Community Services and Complex and Long-Term Care Division. The post holder will lead and deliver a strategic and operational portfolio which provides high quality, patient-centred services.Responsibilities
Direct, lead and motivate the Complex and Long-Term Care team to deliver planning and development of local service provision, aligned to the Health Board''s business and strategic priorities; includes coaching, resource planning, performance management and team development.Ensure the Health Board''s aims and objectives are clearly communicated to staff and that the Division contributes proactively to the strategic and operational plan.Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional excellence; empower team members to perform to high standards and innovate.Support leadership development across Team Leaders and manage the workforce in line with employment policies and practices.Ensure statutory, mandatory and legal obligations are adhered to.With the Workforce and OD team, develop and implement effective recruitment and retention strategies for the division.Details
