Overview

CNC Lathe Programmer to join a machining company based in Telford. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming machines from drawings, setting, and operating CNC lathes to produce high-quality components for a range of industries. Competitive hourly rate available with a growing business with strong future prospects.Main Duties

Program, set and operate CNC lathes (Fanuc / Siemens / Mazatrol - depending on machines used)Read and interpret technical drawings and engineering instructionsWork with a variety of metals and materialsCarry out first-off inspections and use measuring equipment to check first offs and periodic monitoringAdjust tooling, offsets and machine settings to optimise production efficiencyResponsible for proper operation of machines and tool / jig fixingWork as part of a team to support a busy production areaRequirements

Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Programmer/Setter/OperatorStrong knowledge of CNC programming languages (Fanuc, Siemens or Mazatrol desirable)Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to read technical drawings and programming from drawingsCurrent or recent experience as lathe programmer, CNC programmer, programmer turner, CNC MachinistWhat’s on Offer
