Location: Sheffield

Salary: -45000 plus -2000 shift allowance

Summary: My client, a leading business are seeking a strategic and hands on Shift Manager lead their 3pm-11pm shift. You will also have responsibility for the night shift, although no night work is required. This role is critical in driving operational excellence, embedding sustainable change, and fostering an inclusive and engaged workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own all aspects of shift performance, including safety, service, productivity, compliance, and planning to ensure customer requirements are consistently achieved and that all areas have the right cover in place to succeed.
• Act as the senior decision-maker during the shift, ensuring smooth handovers and operational continuity
• Lead, coach, and develop Team Managers and their teams to deliver consistent results
• Embed a culture of accountability, and proactive problem-solving delivering and supporting the team through positive change
• Ensure clear direction is given to Team Managers so they understand their responsibilities and what they are accountable for
• Drive adherence to SOPs, regulatory standards, and internal policies and seek ways to improve through Kaizen events
• Monitor KPIs and lead root-cause analysis to resolve performance gaps and remove defects

Key Skills/Experience:

• High level of experience in Absence, disciplinary and Grievance, investigations
• Experienced in managing first line managers
• General Warehouse process improvement experience
• Able to work through daily routines to maintain pace
• Lead daily routines with Team Mangers ensuring they are on track and understand what''s expected of them
• Consistently display respectful, honest and responsible conduct and ensure the same of your team
