Your new companyDesian Education are proud to be working in partnership with a St Helens two-form entry primary school that is easily accessible via public transport as they are looking to appoint an experienced and qualified EYFS teaching assistant to support a new pupil to the school on a 1:1 basis. This is a full-time position that will last the remainder of the academic year where you will support a male pupil in the reception class on a 1:1 basis that has a dual diagnosis of ASD and non-verbal.You will act as the main point of contact for you new pupils throughout the school day, advocating for them whenever needed and offer comprehensive support within the main classroom and breakout rooms, including sensory provisions. As your pupil has a dual diagnosis of non-verbal and ASD they have been struggling to integrate into the class. To promote peer relationships, you will integrate them into new pupil groups and continuously strive to develop their speech and language.
