You will be part of a team of Vehicle Builders responsible for refitting and modernising the interiors of train carriages.Key Responsibilities:Stripping and preparing vehicles for repair workCutting and fitting materials to precise measurementsInstalling components such as panels, flooring, carpets and seating using materials including wood, metal, composites, sealants and adhesivesAssembling, fitting and finishing interior and exterior featuresUsing Siemens systems/software to input data and access VMI informationRemoving and refitting windowsPerson Profile:Previous experience as a Vehicle Builder, Coachbuilder, Carpenter or Shop FitterWillingness to learn new skills and attend training coursesNVQ Level 3 in a relevant engineering or woodworking discipline (desirable)Ideally experience within rolling stock or vehicle interiors
