Role Overview: As Head of Repairs, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality, responsive, and planned maintenance services across the authority s housing stock. You will lead a dedicated team, manage substantial budgets, and ensure compliance with HandS and CDS regulations and standards. Your leadership will be instrumental in enhancing resident satisfaction and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the repairs service, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of maintenance works. Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery and resident satisfaction. Manage and monitor budgets, ensuring value for money and financial compliance. Oversee the performance of repairs contractors, ensuring adherence to service standards and value for money. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and building safety standards. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders. Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will possess: A relevant professional qualification (e.g., MRICS, MCIOB) or equivalent experience. Proven experience in managing housing repairs and maintenance services within a loca
