Management Accountant

In this key role, you''ll provide high-quality financial and management accounting services, partnering with senior stakeholders and directorates to ensure accurate reporting, sound decision-making, and continuous improvement across the organisation.Key Responsibilities:Deliver timely and effective management accounting services and reportsPartner with internal directorates to support financial decision-makingProvide professional financial advice and identify areas for improvementSupport and enhance finance processes, systems, and complianceProduce monthly management accounts, monitoring reports and statutory returnsAssist with year-end processes and external auditsTrain and guide stakeholders on financial procedures and systemsWork closely with senior stakeholders and external partnersRequired Skills, Qualifications and Attributes:Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experienceQualified or Part Qualified Accountant (CIPFA, CIMA, ACA, ACCA)Excellent communication, analysis and stakeholder engagement skillsWorking knowledge of public sector finance, regulations, and governanceBenefits:28 days annual leave plus bank holidaysAccess to the Local Government Pension SchemeFlexi-Time Scheme - accrue up to 18 additional days leave per yearHybrid working modelThis is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile, meaningful projects with long-lasting regional impact.
