Financial Crime Officer

-250 per day Inside IR35

6 Month Contract (Opportunity to go perm)

5 Days a week in office (London)

Commodities client currently seeking for a financial crime officer to join the organisation.

Responsibilities:

• Providing support to the business and other departments by responding to queries and requests for information.
• Supporting with the development of new transaction monitoring scenarios.
• Supporting with tuning and testing of existing transaction monitoring scenarios.
• Reviewing alerts generated daily by the transaction monitoring system and determining whether further investigation is required.

Requirements:

• Up to 3 year previous experience working in financial services / financial crime advisory / Customer Due Diligence / Transaction Monitoring preferred but other applicants will be considered.
• Experienced in analysing information, identifying risks and making recommendations.
• Ability to work effectively alone or as part of a team.
• Knowledge of relevant regulation and industry guidance such as the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, The Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds (information on the Payer) Regulations 2017, UK, EU, OFAC sanctions regimes and The Joint Money Laundering Steering Group Prevention of money laundering/combating terrorist financing guidance.

Logistics:

• 5 days a week in office (London)
• 6 month contract
• Market day rate, negotiable based on experience
• ASAP start date
