Electrical Wiring Technician - Control Panels / Special Purpose Machinery

• Location: Bishop''s Stortford, easy access from the M11- Stansted Airport Junction
• Salary: Very competitive (DOE)
• Contract: Permanent, Full-time
• Hours: Monday to Friday

Employer overview:

A specialist engineering manufacturer of bespoke/special purpose machinery is looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Wiring Technician to join their workshop build team.

Key responsibilities:

• Build and wire electrical control panels from drawings/schematics
• Machine wiring and electrical assembly of special purpose machinery
• Cable routing/looming, glanding, labelling, terminating and crimping
• Carry out continuity/insulation testing and basic fault-finding during build
• Work to high workmanship standards and follow H&S processes

Key skills & experience:

• Proven control panel wiring experience (industrial machinery environment)
• Confident reading electrical schematics/wiring diagrams
• Strong attention to detail: neat wiring, cable management, quality finishes
• Electrical qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds, 18th Edition) or time-served equivalent
• Desirable: experience around PLC panels/instrumentation
• Willingness to undertake occasional site work, including the electrical re-assembly of systems at client sites
