People Group is recruiting a Project Manager from a contractor background to work on the Eastern Region on waterways, Flood Defence schemes, Navigation structures and Highways/ Road schemes. Key Accountabilities:Management of site staff, operatives and sub-contractorsProvide method statements, hazard risk assessments and Project Management plansUnderstand tender allowances and monitor contract loss against agreed budgetsPreparing and monitoring programmes of workFoster good relations and reputation with clientsManage design coordinationAssessment and engagement of sub-contractorsManage contracts to ensure timely and profitable completion of contractsSupervise, mentor and assist in the career development of junior staff Qualifications, Certifications and Experience required:Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Project Management role working for a main contractor.Experience working within waterways, flood defence/ structures and highways/ road schemes.HND/ HNC/ BEng or equivalentUp-to-date SMSTS qualification and appropriate CSCS cardMust be happy to travel to site in Peterborough / Cambridge 5 days a week. On offer is a salary of between 64,000 - 74,000 per annum, a Company Car, a pension, 25 days'' holiday entitlement, and more.
